Cache Valley donated 3,914 diapers during the week-long diaper drive to "Make a Difference". These generous donations were gratefully received by five community organizations who serve young children.

Last days to donate
Wilson's Fall Festival added many more diapers to our pile! Thank you! We will be collecting the final diapers from our drop-off boxes Monday, Nov. 1st. Volunteers will be counting and sorting donations at Wilson Elementary this week and look forward to delivering the diapers to four local organizations.

Wilson Fall Festival
Wilson Elementary is a great drop-off location for diaper donations this Friday! AmeriCorps volunteers and Wilson staff will be giving out candy and raffle tickets for prizes to those who bring donations to their Fall Festival at 5:30pm.
One diaper = a candy
Five diapers = a Paw Print or Kid's Meal-Olive Garden
A pack or box of diapers = entry for prize drawings
Wilson staff will take any cash donations to buy diapers and mother/infant items for Cache Valley families in need at CAPSA, Child & Family Support Center crisis nursery, North Campus teen parent program, Bear River Early Head Start, and Riverside Preschool (children with disabilities).

Our kick-off for the diaper drive was held Saturday, Oct. 23rd at the north Wal-Mart. Once USU's parade finished, we experienced good success with a total of 684 diapers donated plus boxes of wipes!
Beth Peart, AmeriCorps volunteer, manned the table the entire six hours, and our four-year-old volunteer passed out the most flyers! We still need more diapers, though! We look forward to seeing the resulting donations throughout the week and will post the progress on this blog. Thank you Wal-Mart and thank you Cache Valley!

"SHOP & DROP" Kick-off for Cache Valley Diaper Drive!
This Saturday, October 23rd, is Make a Difference Day - National Day of Doing Good! You can do some good by shopping for diapers or other mother/infant items at the north Wal-Mart from 9am-3pm and dropping them off on your way out. AmeriCorps volunteers (look for our bright green shirts) will be collecting donations for CAPSA, Child & Family Support Center, North Campus teen parent program and Riverside Preschool for children with disabilities.
